Website Terms
Effective November 3, 2026
These terms explain the use of ruine.co, operated by Ruine Studio LLC, doing business as RUINE. Contact theconversation@ruine.co with questions.
What this website provides
RUINE is a brand brokerage providing strategy, creative direction and separately scoped work. The website introduces our perspective, services and selected work. Articles, examples and descriptions are general information. They do not establish a particular engagement or supply legal, tax, investment or clinical advice.
Engagements are contracted separately
An inquiry, introductory conversation or newsletter subscription does not create a client engagement. Every paid engagement comes with contracting and onboarding. The engagement agreement or written scope confirms the parties, work, deliverables, fees, working dates, responsibilities and applicable commercial terms. Substantive project work begins after the required agreement, payment and onboarding steps are complete.
Website terms do not replace a signed engagement agreement or change an existing one. The applicable agreement controls the services it covers. See Contracting and Onboarding for the process.
Payment and commercial terms
The relevant written offer and agreement identify what a payment covers, when it is due, and any cancellation, rescheduling, refund or credit terms. A website payment receipt does not replace that agreement. If these details have not been supplied for your purchase, contact RUINE before paying. We do not impose a blanket nonrefundable-payment rule through these website terms.
Published starting prices are subject to the stated scope. A private offer applies only on its stated terms and during its stated period. Planning, production, implementation and third-party costs are included only when the applicable scope says so.
Content and intellectual property
RUINE and the relevant owners retain rights in the site’s writing, design, visual materials, marks, methods and other content. You may read the site and use materials as expressly offered for their intended purpose. A download does not by itself transfer ownership or a license to resell, redistribute or commercially reuse the material. Client and third-party materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. Project ownership and licenses are addressed in the engagement agreement.
Reasonable use and submissions
Use the website lawfully. Do not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate another person, or send malicious content. Provide only information and materials you are authorized to share. An ordinary inquiry is not a substitute for a confidentiality agreement; arrange appropriate terms before sending restricted or sensitive records.
Examples and independent services
Case studies describe the work and context stated in them. Concepts are identified as concepts. Outcomes depend on the circumstances; a case study is not a promise of the same business result. External links, payment services and third-party tools are operated by their respective providers and may have their own terms and privacy practices.
The Houz and the Desk
A professional introduction or participation in a selection process does not guarantee work, employment, preferred status or a partnership. Any actual assignment has separate agreed terms. Newsletter signup requests the Founder’s Desk only and does not require a service engagement. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Privacy accessibility and updates
See our Privacy Policy, Cookie and Technology Notice, and Accessibility Statement. We may update the website and these website terms prospectively. An update does not amend an existing signed engagement agreement by itself. Nothing here removes rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
